Cornish inspiration

I spent a few days staying with family in St Ives and took inspiration from the local artists whilst I was there. So the drawings above are the sculptures of Barbara Hepworth, St Ives boats, the harbour, lobster pots and Cornish pasties in the style of Terry Frost (sorry about the pasties Terry!), a tin mine in the style of Mondrian (who’s in the Tate) and some mackerel in my style, heh.

I do love Mr Frost’s style, particularly his screen prints. The designs are so simple, graphic and recognisable. I’m sure he’d have done pasties too if he’d though of it??
